Instead of cryptic legalese, I prefer to spell out my terms in simple English.

Estimates
Once the breadth of the project is determined, I will submit a proposal outlining the scope, effort level, and hourly rate of the project. Terms for changes, both during and after the engagement, will also be included. The only exception to this procedure would be in a formal RFP situation, in which case the guidelines for submittal would be followed.

Compensation
Once the engagement contract has been signed, 50% of the estimated cost will be required to begin the project, with the remaining balance due at time of delivery or launch. Engagements estimated to require more than 6 weeks of actual time will be structured on a "30/30/balance" basis.

Ownership and Licensing
Copyrights for music compositions and audio recordings will remain with Sam Rhee unless explicitly stated prior to project completion. Licensing and terms of use should also be determined prior to the start of the project. Ownership of text and graphics will be determined on a per project basis.

Of course, there are more formal terms, but this should provide a clear overview of the process.
